How is a Store Like This ministry?

Over the course of humanity, and the course of Christianity, the creativity of the species has represented an intersection of the spiritual with the natural.  The Church is responsible for supporting and encouraging this expression for the edification of the Body of Christ.  Great visionaries like Michaelangelo, Bach, DaVinci and countless others have been supported and commissioned through the resources of people of faith.
Apparel has a rich connection to art and faith due to the craftsmanship and significance of the expressiveness required.  However, it is also one of the industries most fraught with  unethical and immoral human cruelty.  We encourage recycling, upcycling, conservation, donation, generosity, and equipping.  As the early church in Acts discovered, the Lord has special provision available for those who lean into holding and generously considering things as worth offering to others - esp when we have our own utility met.

Also on a far more practical side, I have never witnessed as obvious a connection to ministry work.  In Women's Ministry, connections are often hard to form and take a huge (and often insurmountable) amount of time and effort.  However, over apparel, the early and almost universal habits of playing dress up, handing down to siblings, admiring mothers, aunts & grandmothers... are deeply connected and accessible.  And this deep community and personal development connection gives unique access to one's self identity and posture towards self & others, which reveals our relationship with the Lord and the Lord's children.  I have found the most extraordinary and simple connections are enabled through this work.

I understand this is a lot to take in on a single glance - it has taken me a couple years of Prayer and Scripture study to understand why the Lord wanted this to begin, and even when it was inexplicable from a business perspective due to COVID, the Lord wanted it to continue, and now I believe the Lord is revealing how to expand on what we have witnessed.  More to come on all that!

Thanks for helping, praying, donating, supporting, and encouraging!

In Christ!
