Artisan MarkeT on the square in downtown Eureka, IL
NOW OPEN 24/7 for Self-Checkout (Video in use)
About the Store:
We opened the Artisan Market the last weekend of October 2019 on the 24/117 Intersection in downtown Eureka. We had hosted an outdoor Artisan Market in downtown Oswego, IL during the previous years and brought some of the top makers down to Eureka. And of course, we brought in some really exceptional apparel from our own vintage and reclaimed collection.
It was SO BUSY immediately, we expanded into two additional units in the building! The concept was to fund ministry both locally and out of the area through creative arts ministry, high end thrift, and vintage art & fashion restoration and conservation.
Then BOOM Covid hit, and we were closed down less than 5 months after starting! If there is one thing we are NOT is a necessary business... so we waited out quarantine and re-opened summer 2020... BUT...
It was REALLY quiet. There was almost no one out and shopping. We opened for limited hours, we tried to find hours that could accommodate folks, but it just did not work. I was SURE it was just time to call it quits.
The Lord kept whispering hope, though. SO we have waited and trusted. December 2021 we reopened with self-checkout in place, and a renewed sense of purpose in offering hope, peace, and care to those who seek it.
We carry curated Handicraft, Art, Soap, Candles, Furniture, Vintage Clothing & Decor, Lite Salvage, and Apparel. We conserve, restore, create and offer beautiful pieces! Our largest category is apparel, and we have a beautiful selection. We also offer an interesting variety of decor and hand crafted, and we try to offer things not seen elsewhere and not sourced by oppressive and ungodly ways.
Our focus for 2022 is to bless abundantly without fear in order to communicate the boldness and abundance of the Love of Christ. We exist to share Jesus. Everyone is welcome. We strive to give God better. The Lord has highlighted Isaiah 61:3 as a guiding verse for our work... more on that and other ministry thoughts in the newsletter area of the website.
We bless others intentionally through supporting creative and scriptural arts, sharing resources and abundance, honoring the work of ordinary hands - including those with special needs, conserving and reclaiming beautiful artisan pieces, and sharing hope in the Lord. We believe the call of Scripture to engage the work of edification, building up our sisters and brothers in Christ.
Though we have had to go entirely to donated pieces for the last couple years, we do still consider investing in pieces others bring in and are always looking to conserve vintage pieces, silk, cashmere, wool, fur and leather! We honor the gifts you bring to edify others.
Bless others and yourself by shopping! Seriously - come in and experience the sweet offering of the Lord to Eureka.
Now Open 24/7 for self-checkout! There's a lot of info about that IN the store.
IMPORTANT: Additional parking off the alley behind the building by Pizza Hut! There are also two public lots back on the alley - and you may enter through the back door of the building. Come up the hallway and enter through our hallway door!
